CONFIRMATION that a trial bus service for the Annacotty Business Park will be introduced as part of the Limerick BusConnects rollout has been welcomed.
Fianna Fáil Senator Dee Ryan submitted a formal proposal requesting a dedicated service to support workers, residents and students in the area.
The confirmed trial will run during peak hours for an initial six-month period, and is due to commence when the wider Limerick BusConnects plan is launched.
However, Senator Ryan raised concerns that a six-month period may not be sufficient to demonstrate the full potential of the route, and says there is a need for a long-term plan.
