
IT’S official, the Desmond League has the best schoolboys’ team in Ireland.
This was confirmed as its under-14 representatives won, for the first time, the coveted inter-league Kennedy Cup at the University of Limerick.
In a great final, Desmond beat Donegal 2-0, with both goals arriving in the second half courtesy of Dan Healy and Player of the Match Precieux Malonga.
The winners were captained by Darragh O’Connor.
Meanwhile, Fairview Rangers rounded an incredible season with a comfortable 3-0 win over Regional United in the Lawson Cup Final at Jackman Park.
It adds to a trophy haul which includes the ultimate FAI Junior Cup and Premier League title.
In the weekend decider, the goals were crashed home by Conor Kavanagh, Oleg Vysochan and Adam Dore.
