LIMERICK City and County Council has officially commenced the development of a Local Sports Plan aimed at increasing participation in sport and physical activity across the city and county.
This initiative aligns with the government’s National Sports Policy 2018–2027 and is supported by Sport Ireland under Action 8 of the policy.
The Local Sports Plan will assess current needs and outline targeted actions to foster a more active and healthier Limerick.
“This is a significant step in ensuring that everyone in Limerick, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to get involved and stay active,” said Limerick Mayor John Moran.
A survey is available on the MyPoint platform at Limerick.ie.
