Markets Field welcomes Monday Night Football

The Markets Field Stadium.

FOR the first time this season, Monday Night Football comes to the Markets Field as Treaty United host Wexford in the Men’s First Division, kick-off 7.45pm.

Treaty will be hoping to continue their fine vein of home form which has seen them win their last four home games, ratcheting up 12 goals in the process while conceding just two.

In fact, we have to go all the way back to mid-March for the last time that Treaty tasted defeat at the Garryowen venue.

That was a 1-0 defeat to next Monday’s visitors in what was a smash-and-grab effort by the Slaneysiders with a 93rd minute winner by Mikie Rowe after Treaty had dominated most of the game.

There were 1,500 patrons at that tie and home boss Tommy Barrett will be looking for the MidWest public to get behind his side as they look to consolidate a play-off spot.

There are just 9 home games left in the season.
