THERE were great celebrations to be had in Cappamore as a pillar of the local community marked a landmark anniversary.
Fr Brendan Duggan was surrounded by family, friends, parishioners, and a great many admirers as he marked his golden jubilee in the priesthood.
The proud Limerick man has been serving his flock since 1975, marking his 50 years in service of his God at a packed celebratory Mass in St Michael’s Church in Cappamore, County Limerick, followed by a large celebration at the Cappamore Community Centre.
The celebration was attended by Fr Duggan’s siblings Denis, Lena, and Freda, nieces and nephews, and his wide extended family.
