THE most recent M20 design update has not provided clarity on the concerns raised by those living in Patrickswell.
That’s according to Fine Gael councillor Dan McSweeney who said that the issue of the proposed closure of sections of Junction 5 Attyflin has been raised for nearly 12 months, with little or no progress to date.
“This week, the design team advised elected members that further design development for connectivity from the M20 is being investigated.
The lack of progress on this issue has caused further upset in recent days for local residents.

The proposed closure of a section of this junction will undoubtedly lead to an increase in traffic passing through Patrickswell village and the surrounding areas,” Cllr McSweeney said.
