A MAN was being questioned by GardaĆ in connection with an investigation into a serious assault in Limerick five years ago.
The man was arrested in an early morning planned Garda operation in the St Maryās Park area on Tuesday (June 24).
GardaĆ would not say what specific investigation the man was being questioned about for āoperational reasonsā.
A Garda spokesperson said that āGardaĆ in Limerick City have arrested a man, Tuesday 24thĀ June 2025, in relation to an ongoing investigation into an incident of assault which occurred in Limerick in 2020.ā
