New jobs hoped after major expansion for Limerick logistics and transport provider

Fusion opens new 100,000 sq ft Midwest hub.

LIMERICK-based logistics and transport provider Fusion Logistics has announced an expansion of its operations with a new 100,000 square-foot state-of-the-art warehousing facility outside the city.

The expansion is expected to pave the way for more jobs in the region.

The fourth-generation, family-run provider has over 50 years of industry experience at its base in Annacotty Business Park.

The new expansion almost doubles the current warehousing capacity and marks a significant milestone in the companyโ€™s continued growth, a Fusion representative explained.

Upon completion, the facility is expected to increase pallet capacity to 25,000.

The expansion, according to the company, will also see a 15 to to 20 per cent increase in staffing, reinforcing Fusion Logisticsโ€™ commitment to regional economic development.

Patrick Murrihy, managing director of Fusion Logistics, said that the โ€œnew facility is a testament to our long-standing commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer-focused solutions”.

The company serves a broad client base throughout the Mid West and beyond, with including well known names like Johnson & Johnson, Serosep, Teleflex Medical, Uniphar, and Ishka Irish Spring Water.

As construction progresses, Fusion Logistics said that it looks forward to welcoming clients to its expanded facilities and continuing to deliver bespoke, efficient, and cost-effective logistics solutions tailored to each customerโ€™s unique needs.

Operations manager Denis Murrihy, added that โ€œphase one of our logistics facility here in Annacotty will hold approximately 7,500 pallets, and on completion of phase two, that will rise to approximately, 15,000 pallets in totalโ€.
