Woman hospitalised after road traffic collision in Co. Limerick

154 new recruits celebrated their passing out ceremony in Tipperary today, 20 of whom will take up positions at two Garda Stations in the city, as announced last month.

A WOMAN in her 70s was hospitalised following a road traffic collision in Askeaton, Co. Limerick earlier this week.

The incident occurred in the Bawnreagh area on Monday, June 30 at approximately 5 pm.

The female pedestrian was taken to University Hospital Hospital Limerick for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.

Any persons who were in the Bawnreagh, Askeaton area between 4:50pm and 5:10pm and who may have witnessed the incident should contact investigating Gardaí.

Any road users who were travelling in this vicinity at the time, and who may have camera footage including dash cam, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
