Future Farmer Trish scoops national agri prize

Now in its second year, the National Dairy Council Future Farmer competition is inviting students to submit their entries online and for more information, people can visit www.moocrew.ie.

KNOCKLONG National School has been revealed as one of the winners of the National Dairy Council’s (NDC) annual Future Farmer Competition.

Student Trish Halpin scooped a special guest spot on the panel at the Bord Bia Bloom Festival, a โ‚ฌ150 One4All voucher and a class trip to a working dairy farm for their entire class.

Sinead Whelan, Schools Programme Manager at NDC, said: “The students enthusiasm and passion for farming was clear to see.โ€
