Shannon Airport passenger numbers continue to rise

The figures reflect the airport's continued growth and role as a key international gateway for Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way.

SHANNON Airport has recorded a strong performance in the first six months of 2025, welcoming over 1.04 million passengers โ€“ an increase of more than 7 per cent on 2024.

The figures reflect the airport’s continued growth and role as a key international gateway for Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way.

Mary Considine, Shannon CEO, said: “As we continue to deliver strong growth and expand our international reach, it’s vital that the new National Aviation Policy recognises the strategic importance of Shannon Airport.

With the right policy support, we can unlock even greater connectivity, drive regional economic development, and ensure balanced growth across the country.”
