THERE is familiarity with the Limerick XV announced by manager Jimmy Lee for Saturdayโ€™s historic Tailteann Cup final against Kildare at Croke Park, 2.30pm.

Some niggling injuries have cleared up, most notably around Newcastle West pair Iain Corbett and Emmet Rigter, who have both been passed fit.

โ€œThere has been a great buzz around the camp,โ€ Limerick captain Cillian Fahy of Dromcollogher Broadford told RTร‰ Sport ahead of the weekend.

โ€œSpirits are high and we’re delighted to be here and delighted to prolong the season and to get into a final and get back to Croke Park.โ€

If Limerick triumph, Fahy would be the first local since Con Fitzgerald of Glin way, way back in 1896 to hold aloft an All-Ireland Championship Cup for his county.

โ€œIt would be a massive privilege,โ€ Fahy said.
