TOP jockey Billy Lee of Ballingarry will be sidelined for this weekโ€™s Killarney Festival and the upcoming Galway Extravaganza after he broke a collarbone at Limerick.

He is expected to be out of action for a month.

โ€œBilly has broken his collarbone, but it is a clean break and hopefully he could be back in about four weeks,โ€ said his agent Kevin Oโ€™Ryan.

โ€œHeโ€™s in good spirits and is looking on the bright side. Typical of Billy he said โ€˜it could be a lot worseโ€™.โ€

Lee has ridden 44 winners this season, and despite this setback is still viewed as a serious contender for the Irish Jockeysโ€™ Championship.
