MICHAEL’S RC were among those to fare well at the Irish Rowing Championships in Cork at the weekend.
On Day One, Jack Rafferty triumphed in the Men’s Junior 18 Single Scull, while clubmates Cloda Phillips and Aida Hehir successfully defended their Junior 18 title.
Michael’s also won the Women’s Junior 18 Four (Cloda Phillips, Aida Hehir, Robyn Buckley and Lucy Hartigan), and the Men’s Junior 18 Quad Sculls with Jack Rafferty, Evan O’Byrne, Art Thornbury and Ger Bourke.
In the Junior 16, Oscar Buckley and Blaise Ryan picked up the win in the Men’s Double.
On Day Three, Michael’s secured a dominant victory in the Junior 18 Men’s Double Sculls (Jack Rafferty and Evan O’Byrne).
There was also success for the Women’s Junior 16 Coxed Quad of Shannon RC.
