REGULAR and new blood donors in and around Newcastle West are asked to give blood at two upcoming blood donation clinics.
This comes as supplies nationally are running very low.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says that at this time of year “we are challenged by people taking their well-deserved summer holiday.
This is compounded by a fall off in clinic attendance due to the recent warm weather. The demand for blood nationally continues to rise month on month”.
