OVER 200 people joined the Jubilee Year of Hope pilgrimage at Our Ladyโ€™s Saint Itaโ€™s Pastoral Units on Friday (July 11).

The pilgrims walked to three main stations, St Ita’s shrine at Kileedy graveyard, the Mass Rock and Ashford Church.

Bishop of Limerick Brendan Leahy, who led the pilgrimage, said he โ€œwas delighted with this initiative as it lifted our hearts in prayer for peace at a time when the world is crying out for peace.

It was wonderful to be with people so conscious of the heritage that has come down to us through the generations.”
