GARDAÍ seized “a haul” of scrambler bikes and scooters during a number of raids in Limerick City this Wednesday morning (July 23).
The morning raids took place in the Garryowen area of Limerick City, a post from the An Garda Síochána Limerick Facebook page stated.
A number of scrambler bikes and e-scooters were seized as part of the sweep, loaded by Gardaí onto a flatbed truck for removal.
Gardaí said that a number of Garryowen properties were searched and “a haul of scramblers and e-scooters” was seized as part of a community policing operation targeting their “dangerous use”.
Gardaí have previously stated, unconnected to the seizure in Garryowen, that scramblers and e-scooters have been connected to the sale and supply of drugs, causing “fear, intimidation, and distress”, in the city.
