Limerick’s celebrated indie festival, Féile na Gréine, returns this summer with a dynamic line-up for its 2025 edition. Running from August 15-17, the three-day event will take audiences on a musical journey through Limerick City, visiting a range of venues from arts spaces and underground clubs to craft breweries and street parties.
This year’s eclectic programme features Connemara shoegaze artist Maria Somerville, experimental folk songwriter Joshua Burnside, New Zealand dream-pop trio Womb, and live techno from Zkellies — the new collaboration between Andy Connolly (FKA Naive Ted), Dan Walsh, and Bill Karnation. With over 30 events scheduled across nine venues, the festival champions everything DIY in Ireland’s independent music scene.
The opening event is a special performance of Amanda Feery’s NEST at the Redemptorist Church — a musical reflection on Éamon de Valera’s 1943 speech On Language and the Irish Nation, exploring themes of home, land, and belonging.
Also returning is STARLING, with an exciting line-up of experimental artists including Michael Speers, Seth Frightening, Autism Controller, and Osaro, spanning music, sound art, theatre, and performance.
Ormston House will present performances from David Murphy & Ether Ensemble and electroacoustic composer Harry Gorski-Brown.
