THE new ALDI store on Roches Street in Limerick City opened today (Thursday) to great fanfare, providing 30 new jobs in the heart of the city centre.
A number of familiar and famous faces were on hand to help cut the ribbon, including Munster and Irish rugby star Dave Kilcoyne, with young players from St Bridgetโs National School.
New store manager Ian Dawson also welcomed Senator Maria Byrne, TDs Conor Sheehan and Maurice Quinlivan, and local councillors Daniel Butler and Peter Doyle.
The opening marks Aldiโs fourth store in Limerick, following the opening of its first location on Childers Road in 2006.
A gift voucher was presented to the first customer through the doors this morning, Philip Hart.
