JJ HANRAHAN has returned to Munster. The 32-year-old has rejoined following spells with Clermont Auvergne, Dragons, and most recently Connacht.
In an earlier break from Munster, he was also with Northampton Saints for a period.
During his initial couple of spells with Munster, Hanrahan was the clubโs third highest points scorer of all time, and was twice a winner of the URC Golden Boot competition.
He has over 140caps with The Reds.
Hanrahanโs 100th Munster appearance was marked with a Player of the Match display in a win over Benetton in spring 2019.
Interestingly, the Castleisland native was 100 per cent accurate off the tee – 24 points – in a famous comeback defeat of Clermont Auvergne in France back in December 2020.
Other summer signings for Munster are Lee Barron (Leinster), Dan Kelly (Leicester Tigers), Michael Milne (Leinster) and Conor Ryan (UCC), while those stepping up are Fionn Gibbons (Young Munster), Shay McCarthy (Richmond/Young Munster), Evan OโConnell (UL Bohemian/Young Munster), Ruadhรกn Quinn (Young Munster/Old Crescent) and Kieran Ryan, Shannon.
