A LIMERICK artist, satirist, comedian, musician, and author has been nominated for a major British film award.
Blindboy Boatclub has been named on the long list for the 2025 Grierson British Documentary Awards, receiving the acknowledgement for his documentary The Land of Slaves and Scholars.
The local artist is in esteemed company, alongside well known documentarians and previous Grierson award winners Louis Theroux and Stacey Dooley.
In a post shared online reacting to his major achievement, the Limerick artist asked local media to help shine a light as “my mother is in her 80s and likes to show the paper to her neighbours whenever I’m in it”.
