THE Limerick branch of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) has put out the call for blood donors both new and returning to take part in a number of upcoming donation clinics.
This comes, the IBTS says, at a time of year when the service is “challenged by people taking their well-deserved summer holiday”, “compounded by a fall off in clinic attendance due to the recent warm weather”.
Two clinics will be held at the Castletroy Park Hotel on Monday July 28 and Tuesday July 29 from 4.50pm to 8.10pm.
The Newport Community Centre will host a clinic on Wednesday July 30 from 4.50pm to 8.10pm. Appointments can be made on 1800 222 111.
