THE Limerick branch of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) has put out the call for blood donors both new and returning to take part in a number of upcoming donation clinics.

This comes, the IBTS says, at a time of year when the service is โ€œchallenged by people taking their well-deserved summer holidayโ€, โ€œcompounded by a fall off in clinic attendance due to the recent warm weatherโ€.

Two clinics will be held at the Castletroy Park Hotel on Monday July 28 and Tuesday July 29 from 4.50pm to 8.10pm.

The Newport Community Centre will host a clinic on Wednesday July 30 from 4.50pm to 8.10pm. Appointments can be made on 1800 222 111.
