Irish St Leger continues in Limerick

JUST 12 remain in contention for the Callaway Pro-Am at Stud Irish St Leger at Limerick, and the semi-finals are listed for Saturday (7.40pm onwards).

Still very much in the classic is the three-in-a-row seeking Clonbrien Treaty, trained in Tipperary (Golden) by Graham Holland and owned by the Murphy Family of Athlacca.

He won his quarter-final in a fast 29.48 seconds.

Another local qualifier was Drombeg Banner from the kennels of young Evan McAuliffe, Athlacca.

Team Holland (3), McAuliffe, Paul Hennessy (Kilkenny, 2), Patrick Guilfolye (Tipperary, 2), Robert Gleeson (Kildare), Christopher Delaney (Tipperary), Philip Buckley (Tipperary) and Colm Fitzgerald (Clare) are the handlers who remain in contention for the ultimate prize of โ‚ฌ30,000.
