Two horses seized in Limerick city

A three-year-old male horse was also seized on September 26 from Knocklong. According to a Council statement, the owners of the horses are not known.

TWO horses were seized by the local authority from the Garryowen area in Limerick City.ย 

The seizures, made by Limerick City and County Council, took place on July 20 at Fairview Crescent in Garryowen.

A two-year-old dark bay male Shetland and a one-and-a-half-year-old bay male Shetland were seized.

According to a Council statement, the owners or keepers of the abandoned horses are not known.

Abandoned horses seized by the local authority, if not claimed by their owner or keeper, are re-homed to shelters outside of Limerick in accordance with the 1996 Control of Horses Act.
