New music from Mother of Pearl

Mother of Pearl

FOLLOWING on from a strong opening set at last weekโ€™s Seoda Shows Summer Party, Limerick shoegaze outfit Mother of Pearl are set to make their recorded debut with the release of Salt on 1 August. Known for their immersive live shows and lush, textured soundscapes, the band have been gaining traction with their blend of intense guitar work, rich vocal harmonies, and atmospheric depth.

Salt leads the charge for the bandโ€™s forthcoming debut album So Long to Knowing, produced by Aj Das and mastered by Richard Dowling (Paul McCartney, The Waterboys, and Motรถrhead.)

โ€œWe felt Salt was the perfect introduction,โ€ says lead guitarist Seth Collins. โ€œIt was the first track that really came to life as a jam, with everyoneโ€™s input shaping a sound that truly defines who we are.โ€

A staple of their live sets, Salt has already become a fan favourite thanks to its driving basslines, shattering guitar riffs, soaring vocals and sweeping choruses. Itโ€™s a powerful first glimpse into a band unafraid to lean into both beauty and noiseโ€”setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling debut record.
