
BAY Enterprises (Crossagalla Industrial Estate, Ballysimon) emerged as winners of the 2025 Inter-firm Football Tournament, the final of which was staged at the University of Limerick South Campus this past weekend.
In a tense decider, the winners came through 1-0 against ProEnergy.
The only goal came late on courtesy of the prolific Shane Clarke.

In the Shield final, Atlantic Aviation were impressive 2-0 winners over Netcore Solutions.
The impressive Sammy Tabot-Ndip scored in either half.
In the Plate final, Limerick Accountants and Eir played themselves to a standsill in a thriller.
The teams were tied, 2-2, after extra time.
In the penalty shoot-out, the accountants emerged numerical victors.
Over the course of two months, some 20 teams were engaged in 50 matches.
The player count was in the region of 500.
Again, profits from the season were for Limerick Mental Health Association (LMHA).
Its representative Ian Hackett was on hand to present the trophies.
โOur thanks to all involved for making the tournament itself a success, and we are once again heartened to be the benefactors from the season,โ Hackett commented. โIn fairness, there were some great plays across the three finals and all of us here for the action were impressed by the quality on show. I already look forward to the next edition of this ever-growing tournament in 2026.โ
LMHA was founded in 2002 by a group of individuals who recognised the need for support and resources for those affected by mental health challenges in the local community.
