Dr Benjamin Boone {Fresno University California) makes a welcome return to Limerick to play some of his original compositions from his very successful album Confluence
The Irish Sessions along with some of the musicians living here who also performed and recorded with Ben, nemely guitarist Joe O Callaghan and John Daly, they will be joined by bassist Peter Hanagan on the occasion in what promises to be a memorable gig in Dolans on the Terrace this Sunday August 10. 5pm. Admission is free.
Ben is a jazz professor at Fresno University California and has several great albums to his name and has performed with some of the world’s most famous jazz musicians such as Branford MArsalis Chris Potter Tom Harrell and world renowned US poet laureate Philip Levine (The Poetry Of Jazz) who has sadly left us. Ben is a highly motivated individual and loves travelling meeting and performing with like minded people. Ben has also been appointed external examiner for the Irish World Academy Of Music based in UL.
