And, a trio of late points from Shane O’Brien (2) and Conor Staunton rescued an unlikely draw for Kilmallock against plucky Ahane.
O’Brien hit an impressive 1-7 for Kilmallock, matched by Ahane’s Tom Morrissey (0-10).
Technically, all six sides are in contention for four qualification berths.
Only two teams qualify from Group Two, and the pecking order is: Monaleen (4 points), Kildimo Pallaskenry, KP, (3), Mungret St Paul’s (2), Newcastle West (2), Adare (1) and Dromin Athlacca (0).
For KP, five-time All-Star Kyle Hayes was forced-off injured in the early stages of a drawn encounter with Newcastle West.
