
GARDAร are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in a road crash this morning in County Limerick.
The fatal crash took place this Thursday morning (August 14) on the N20 at Ballyouragan, Croom.
Gardaรญ confirmed that a man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.
The incident took place at around 7.25am this morning, in which two cars collided.
No other injuries have so far been reported.
Following the fatal crash, Gardaรญ have asked for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
A Garda statement said that the โroad remains closed at this time to facilitate a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigatorsโ.
Local diversions on the road are currently in place.
โGardaรญ are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them,โ the Garda statement read.
โAny road users who may have camera footage (including dashcam) and were travelling in the area between 7.00am and 7.30am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaรญ.โ
