LIMERICK has the third fastest Wi-Fi in the country according to new research from Virgin Media Ireland.
Using real-world speed test data from TestMy.net, the study ranks the top locations for average download and upload speeds.
Limerick boasts the fastest upload speed of 30.9 Mpbs with a download speed of 129.5 Mpbs.
The study looked at 25 locations across the country, with major cities like Cork and Dublin topping the list.

However, commuter towns and regional hubs like Kilcockin, Kildare, are also making a strong showing, suggesting Ireland’s broadband network is expanding in speed and reliability far beyond the capital.
