ALMOST 1,000 dogs are getting ready to put their best paw forward at the 94th All Breed International Championship Dog Show this month.
Limerick and District Canine Club will hold the annual event, regarded as Ireland’s premier dog show, on Thursday August 21 at Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel in Adare.
Over 270 different breeds have featured at the show in previous years from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Slovakia, and Sweden.
The show is part of the famous Munster Circuit, consisting of a week of shows across the country, with judges travelling from France and Spain to judge our furry friends.
The circuit also includes shows in Clonmel, on August 17, Killarney on August 19, and Castleisland on August 23.
People can watch all the action from dogs entered at the show on the day and see results live as they happen online. Those attending in person can also visit trade stands to purchase doggie treats and more.
The show kicks off at 9am until 4.30pm, with parking available.
This years show is sponsored by Gain Pet Nutrition, DFM Show Equipment, and Failte Ireland.
