
THREE five-time All-Ireland Senior Championship medal winners with Limerick will line out in today’s (Monday) annual Hurling for Cancer Research charity match at Netwatch Dr Cullen Park in Carlow (7.30pm).
Brothers Tom and Dan Morrissey, along with Darragh OโDonovan, are all named in a team dubbed โJim Bolgerโs All-Starsโ, under the guidance of Liam Griffin and John Kiely.
Also included are Huw Lawlor (Kilkenny), Lee Chinn (Wexford), Ryan Taylor (Clare), and Adam Screeney (Offaly).
The opposition are โDavy Russellโs Bestโ, with Brian Cody and Liam Cahill as joint managers.
On duty here will be Eoin Downey (Cork), Alan Tynan (Tipperary), Noel McGrath (Tipperary), Peter Duggan (Clare), Darragh McCarthy (Tipperary) Brendan Cummins (Tipperary), and Patrick Horgan (Cork).
There will be support roles for Paudie Clifford, Rahael Blackmore, Willie Mullins, Bernard Dunn, Niall Quinn, Barry Gerghty, Colm OโRourke, Marty Morrissey, and Paul Townend.
Itโs anticipated that funds will go towards the ultimate target of โฌ2million for Hurling for Cancer Research following its introduction in 2011.
