LIMERICK is currently under a Status Yellow thunder storm warning.
Thatโs according to Met รireann, who issued the thunder storm warning for the Treaty, along with counties Cork and Kerry, from 9am this morning.
This comes as the region experiences a prolonged hot spell, with highs hitting 27 degrees in Limerick last week and temperatures in the low 20s expected to continue across this week.
The Status Yellow warning will continue until 6pm, an update from the weather service explained.
Included in the Status Yellow warning is the potential for localised flooding, lightning damage, difficult travel conditions, and possible power outages.
