SSE Airtricity has announced over €200,000 in funding for six projects across Limerick through its Generation Green Community Fund.

These projects are among 56 community-led sustainability initiatives across Ireland to receive full funding through the €5 million fund.

The fully funded initiatives aim to support community resilience planning, promote community environmental programmes, and advance sustainable infrastructure development in local areas; while encouraging long-term environmental stewardship and inclusive community engagement.

The six Limerick projects to receive funding include: Manor Fields, Adare; TASC (Think-tank for Action on Social Change); Burrenbeo Trust; ACT (Accelerating Change Together); Irish Schools Sustainability Network; and Teen-Turn.
