
This Saturday 23rd August will see The Big Day Out, Irelandโs biggest throwback party play host to some of the biggest acts of the 90s and 00s at TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. With the good weather set to continue this weekend, Limerick will be bathed in sunshine so itโs time to kick back with a Spicy Margarita while bopping all night long to the sounds of Mysterious Girl, All Rise, Saturday Night and Movinโ On Up!
The main stage has all the throwback favourites with boyband supremos Blue, Peter Andre, Whigfield, Heather Small plus much more!
The Dance Music stage is jam packed with the names behind some of the biggest floor fillers, festivals and club nights of the last 30 years. Leading proceedings is TALL PAUL, with legendary sets at Creamfields Ireland and Limerickโs Docโs etched into the memories of clubbers, his Ministry of Sound and Cream mixes were the soundtrack to the summers of โ99 and โ00!
Also lighting up the dance tent is AL Gibbs with a very special Euphoria live show with vocalist Paula Gilmer playing some of the biggest trance anthems of the 00s. Ultrabeat bring their kicking live show, with MC Cover bringing the house down! The host for the day is Fergal Darcy who will be kicking things off from 3pm with a very special 90s v 00s Boyband v Girlband dance off with the Gowl Haus Drag Queens. So you can lip synch along to everything from The Spice Girls to Boyzone!
There will be back-to-back sets from classic Limerick DJs Niall Colgan, representing the house grooves of Strictly Rhythm, and Lorna D with all the 90s classics from Docโs. Take a break from the music with plenty of seating at the main bar or sit back and enjoy the sunshine and a Gin Bramble or Cosmopolitan at the Cocktail Bar. Savour everything from Irelandโs greatest baked potatoes to locally sourced burgers and sides in the Food Village, this is the last party of the summer so make sure youโre there!
