LIMERICK Fine Gael TD and Media Minister Patrick O’Donovan announced funding of nearly €20,000 for four Limerick summer festivals.
The funding recipients are ACM Community Development Society’s Music and Musings Festival (receiving €5,000 in funding), Dochas Mid West Autism Support’s Summer Festival (€4,700), the Newcastle West Music Trail (€5,000), and the Limerick Opera Festival (€5,000).
The funding is to be provided under the under the Small Scale Local Festivals and Summer Schools Scheme.
“This is an important acknowledgement of the richness that culture and the arts brings to all our lives, along with the opportunity to come together as a community to socialise and share traditions,” Minister O’Donovan said.
