Cash injection for seven Limerick outdoor facilities

There will also be โ‚ฌ35,100 worth of investment in public lighting of the Limerick Greenway Link from Newcastle West town centre at Bishops Court to the Greenway trailhead.

OVER โ‚ฌ265,000 in funding has been allocated to seven projects in Limerick to improve outdoor recreational facilities.

The funding is being provided as part of the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme and will be used to invest in walking trails, cycleways, and mountain access routes.

Ballylanders Multi-Access Walkway and Templeglantine Riverside Walking Trail have each received โ‚ฌ50,000 in funding, while Ballyhoura Community Pump Track and Kilmoylan Nature Walk will see a boost of โ‚ฌ36,360 and โ‚ฌ36,000 respectively.
