NA PIARSAIGH have moved to the helm of Group One in the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship following a comfortable 2-25 to 1-13 defeat of Ahane in Claughaun.

The eventual winners were nine points to the good, 0-14 to 0-5, at the turnaround.

Usual suspects Kevinย Downes (0-8), ย Adrian Breen (1-3), Ronan Lynch (0-5) and Dylan Lynch (1-2) were in fine scoring fettle for Shane Oโ€™Neillโ€™s outfit, while Ahane relied heavily on Tom Morrissey (0-11).

The tie was noteworthy for the return from injury of Na Piarsaighโ€™s Mike Casey.
