
LIMERICK Unitedโs FAI (Women) Cup winning squad of 1975 will be special guests of Treaty United for the Premier Division outing with Galway United at the Markets Field this Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
50 years ago, the then back-to-back League winners Limerick defeated CSO (Civil Service) 2-0 in the Cup final.
Many of the United team later represented the Republic of Ireland.
Among them were Geraldine Grace, Mary Gavin, Marion Slattery, Ann Cross, Mary Joyce, Pauline Maher, Jackie McCarthy-O’Brien, and Freda Noonan.

Unitedโs achievement of all those years ago will be the subject of a special exhibition at the Hunt Museum from September 11 onwards.
In current times, Treaty are a splendid four wins and a draw from their last five outings.
Treaty also have a Cup semi-final date with Bohemians at Dalymount Park on September 13.
