LIMERICK City and County Council is seeking the support of local businesses in making roundabouts in the Treaty City more environmentally friendly.

The Local authority issued a call for expressions of interest from local businesses and organisations who would consider sponsoring โ€œbiodiversity friendlyโ€ roundabouts in Limerick City.

The roundabouts under the Councilโ€™s new scheme include: Clarina, Clondrinagh, Coonagh, Dock Road/Green Park, Moylish, Newtown/Annacotty, Parkway, Roxboro, and Shannon Bridge.

The sponsorship period is for three years and can involve planting of native wildflowers, pollinators and other biodiversity infrastructure, with the sponsor responsible for creating the biodiversity friendly design.
