
LIMERICK City and County Council has announced that four of its innovative and impactful projects have been shortlisted in the 2025 Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards.
These awards, held in association with the Department of Housing, Local Government, and Heritage, celebrate the exceptional work carried out by local authorities across Ireland.
The shortlisted Limerick projects for 2025 include: Co-Plan Keeping Limerick On Track – Local Authority Innovation; Northside Skills Fair – Promoting Economic Development; Limerick Going for Gold – Supporting Sustainable Communities; and Limerick Greenway, Embrace the Unexpected – Supporting Tourism.
Mayor of Limerick John Moran welcomed the recognition of the projects, saying that “these nominations are a powerful reflection of the partnerships that drive progress and deliver more for Limerick.”
