A LIMERICK man is unveiling a new app he says is the world’s first real-time carbon removal platform for frequent flyers.
FlyGuiltFree.com is a new app from climate-tech provocateurs Tao Climate, which gives travellers an instant way to measure their flight’s carbon footprint and remove it completely.
The process uses real, nature-based carbon removal powered by industrial hemp and verified by artificial intelligence, satellites, and science.
Limerick native Gary Byrnes, CEO of Tao Climate, said that “this is the most important climate technology ever built. Why? Because it works.”
“We’re not selling hope – we’re selling actual, measurable, verified carbon removal that passengers can feel good about.”
The platform integrates multiple advanced technologies, giving passengers trusted emissions data for every journey, Gary said.
Passengers using the app will be able to measure their exact emissions from any flight, and remove those emissions in real-time via Tao Climate’s hemp-powered carbon projects, including rebuilding homes in Ukraine with hempcrete.
Users will also receive a compliance-grade carbon removal certificate and can share their climate wins on social media to friends and family.

The Tao Climate team is already in talks with major airlines, airports, and online travel platforms to integrate its API into the booking flow.
