THOUSANDS of Limerick walkers will gather to mark World Alzheimer’s Day and to remember loved ones no longer with us.

The Alzheimer’s Memory Walk, supported by Aviva, takes place on Sunday September 21, bringing families, friends, and local communities together for the good cause.

Now in its sixth year, the event will be held in Mungret Park from 11am, led by local champion Seรกn Donal O’Shea.

“People around the world will come together in support of those living with dementia and their loved ones and here in Limerick we will walk together. The Memory Walk is a chance to share memories and create new ones together and is such a lovely event for everyone who attends,” he said.
