LIMERICK City and County Council has confirmed that it has made a minor works application to the Office of Public Works (OPW) for an overall survey of the village of Dromcollogher in West Limerick, along with its catchment, and for funding to carry out “quick fix” works to alleviate a short-term flooding event.

These works, the local authority said, could include increasing the capacity of certain bridges and to improve conveyance of rivers and streams, and to clear silt, gravel, and debris from the river bed.
