ONE of Ireland’s most celebrated vocalists, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh who was named RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Singer of the Year in 2022, will showcase material from her critically acclaimed release Róisín ReImagined, featuring beloved sean nós songs alongside instrumental dance music that reflects the cultural rhythms of her native region.

Joining Nic Amhlaoibh on stage are some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians: producer and Oriel musician Dónal O’Connor on fiddle and keyboards, premier harper and composer Michael Rooney from Monaghan, renowned Belfast cellist Neil Martin, legendary Dublin uilleann piper Mick O’Brien, and young Conamara sean nós dancer and concertina player Becky Ní Éallaithe.

The multi-award winning artist from Corca Dhuibhne is recognised as a leading exponent of the sean nós style, having developed her distinctive sound through childhood immersion in West Kerry’s rich cultural environment.

The concert begins at 8pm at Lime Tree Theatre on Thursday September 25.
