MILFORD Care Centre officially launched its Strategic Plan 2025–2030 on Tuesday September 9, marking a major milestone in advancing specialist palliative care and older adult services across the Mid West region.
The development of this strategy reflects over a year of collaboration, consultation, and shared vision across the organisation with input from a wide range of stakeholders through townhall meetings, workshops, and surveys.
Under the theme ‘Leading with Compassion, Excellence, and Innovation’, the strategy sets a clear direction for the years ahead, honouring Milford’s legacy while embracing new opportunities to enhance and improve care.
The strategy is built around seven themes: Service Excellence and Innovation, People and Culture, Organisational Governance, Education and Research, Engagement and Partnerships, Infrastructure and Sustainability, and Digital Transformation.
These pillars are designed to strengthen service delivery and empower the teams who make it possible.
The launch, held at Milford Care Centre, brought together staff and stakeholders in a shared commitment to the Centre’s future and its continued impact in the region.
Milford Care Centre CEO Mary O’Brien commented: “This strategy gives us a clear roadmap to continue providing high quality specialist palliative care and older adult services in the Mid West region for our patients, residents, and the dedicated staff who care for them.”
Chair of the Centre’s board of directors, Catherine Duffy, added: “Milford Care Centre’s strategic plan reflects the board’s commitment to strong governance and long term sustainability. It sets out a clear framework to guide Milford’s growth, ensuring we remain responsive, resilient, and rooted in our core values.”
