Almost 200 parking fines in Newcastle West over past five years

ALMOST 200 parking fines were handed out in the Newcastle West area over the past five years. 

That was the update heard at the recent local authority area meeting for the Newcastle West District.

Local public representatives were told that over the past five years, specifically between January 1, 2021, and August 12, 2025, a total of 190 parking fines were been issued to persons found to be parking illegally in disabled parking bays in the Newcastle West District.

The information came from a question submitted to the Council by Fine Gael councillor Tom Ruddle.
