LIMERICK City and County Council have called on Treaty citizens to help suggest locations for public bathing waters in the county.
According to the Council, there are currently no designating bathing areas in County Limerick (not including those in the city).
As a result, the local authority has asked people who swim at lakes and rivers to suggest some locations for official designation.
Considerations should be made for water quality, whether the site is on private property, health and safety issues associated with the site, parking facilities, as well as any toilet/changing facilities nearby.
Proposals can be made to [email protected] on or before September 26.
