SCHOOLS across Limerick have been invited to “plant for the future” with a free native Irish tree from the Glennon Brothers and the Tree Council of Ireland.
The duo are offering a free Scots Pine sapling to primary schools across Limerick, and the rest of Ireland, for teachers to plant with pupils on National Tree Day (October 2).
National Tree Day is a Tree Council of Ireland initiative encouraging primary schools to get planting while learning about the importance of trees.
Schools looking to find out more and get involved can claim their free sapling on treeday.ie.
