ALREADY twice on the podium at the 2025 World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore (100m Butterfly: Bronze, 100m Breastroke: Silver), Róisín Ní Ríain, Drombanna, is strongly fancied again to feature among the medallists in the 100m Backstroke (Wednesday), 400m Freestyle (Friday), and 200m Individual Medley (Saturday).

On her silver medal win, Ní Ríain said: “I’m pretty pleased with that swim. This event has been a bit up and down this season but to be able to come out and put I think my best swim together when it matters in a close race is great.”

Speaking earlier on her bronze achievement, she said: “I did not realise how close of a race that was. To be honest I’m happy with it. It’s been a slightly newer event focus for me so hopefully over the coming years I can get better and better.”
